Justin Tabb

Founder of jptabb & Co.

Every founder claims they're going to change the world. That they think different, live outside the box, move fast and break things. Throughout my career, I've learned that the people who actually change the world often do it quietly and with purpose. I'm not a revolutionary, savant, or magnate. Yet. Even if I was, I wouldn't be content with selling you the idea. What I aspire to do is cultivate inspiration, because great ideas move people to do great things. I'm the main character in a story dedicated to helping you write yours.

The Journey

The Beginning

I was broke, attending a college I couldn't afford, and working four jobs at $7.31 an hour wasn't cutting it. So I founded Blue Beagle Media and started doing logos, graphics, and web design.

$1,500

Landed my first corporate client, received a check in the mail. Someone was crazy enough to tell me I gave good advice and to charge for it. I was foolish enough to believe them, so I did.

jptabb+Co.

I outgrew Blue Beagle and founded jptabb and Company, a full-service boutique agency, back before "boutique" was the thing to say. It was time to expand and find out what the world had to offer.

COVID

While the world was going out of business, I made a terrible business decision. I built as many websites as I could, as fast as I could, for as many small businesses globally as possible. For free. Instead of capitalizing on the opportunity, I risked it all to help those who didn't have a path forward.

Decade Long Dance

Nobody tells you how daunting and merciless building a business can be. How many people will line up to tell you you're going to fail. The sleepless nights and 100+ hour work weeks. The journey is unforgiving, but you have to become both an unstoppable force and an immovable object.

Building The Future

Everyone says that. We're actually doing it.

Dedication

In loving memory of my mother Donna Colello and grandmother Pearl Deaton. The greatest work I have yet to create and whatever comes next, I dedicate to you. My first computer will go down in history as one of the greatest investments ever made. I promise.
